So it begins.png

I am a 36 year old man and from Bispebjerg, Copenhagen, Denmark.

I am starting in gym for the first time in like 10 years and I am trying to cut out junk food, candy, soda etc.

I am writing my journal here to make it easier to hold my self accountable.

7/12-2023 thursday

I am gonna eat the same thing as yesterday. I feel like it takes away too many ressources to think about what new thing to make each day so I think I am gonna switch it up maybe every week or so. The time is around 10 o´clock and I am eating breakfast. My legs are sore, my back is sore everything is just sore but I am going to the gym again today then I can take the day off tomorrow where I do some voluntary work in Grundtvigs Kirke. That is the church that appeared when ANTE googled my hometown of Bispebjerg in one of his streams.

GrundtvigsKirke,_Köpenhamn_maj_2010.jpg

Work out:

Trap bar deadlift 2 sets, leg curls 2 sets

Low incline dumbbell bench press 2 sets

Seated 45 degree grip row 2 sets

Dips 2 sets

Tricep pushdown 2 sets

seated incline dumbbell curl 2 sets

Some straigth arm cable work focusing on lateral delt/rear delt 2 sets

My intensity was worse than yesterday but I just have to ease myself into it my brain wants to do a lot more than my body

Jigsaw.. you picked one Hella’va time to start! I guess there’s no time like the present 😉

Just have a few cheat days so you don’t feel deprived, after all, life is for enjoying!

mind you that coconut water and pineapple sounds delicious, I’m going to try some my own self since I already have a homemade frozen pineapple sorbet in my freezer.

You got this!

Yes the only thing one should keep in mind is that coconut water can be very high in potassium I think it is so people don´t start drinking litres of it

I haven’t tried coconut water but thank you for informing us about the high potassium because that can cause serious issues if over-consuming…

8/12-2023 friday

It´s 8 in the morning. The soreness  have increased if that was even possible. I hurt my sternum (breastbone between the 2 major chest muscles) from doing the exercise dips. Down below is a 5 second video that shows the lowering part of that exercise whereafter one pushes back to starting position and repeats.

I don´t think it is serious, but I do believe that I need to pick an assisted version because I am not strong enough to do it without help yet.

It is not that I am ego lifting, I just overestimated my strength in this particular exercise and I was only able to do 3 reps, so it was too early to begin lifting that heavy. I am past the age where I care about what people think of the numbers I am lifting, but to kill whatever ego is left in me I am going to update each work out session with reps and the weight I lifted. This will remove whatever ego is left in me since I am very weak for a guy my size but simultaneously motivate me to not use it as an excuse to not try to get stronger.

Comparing to the guy in the picture below is not doing anything good for me lol but if I have to compare it is probably best comparing to myself.

9/12-2023 saturday

Good morning bøllefrøer!

I woke up at 7 today.

Today I am going to try to establish a baseline for my beginning strength in terms of what I can lift comfortably with good technique. It is going to be low for sure since I have trouble just going up and down because my legs are still totally worn out from last time. Probably going to be like that for a week or so.

Since this is a new beginning I am going to be uploading a picture each day from my different stages of life.

A new beginning and the start of a journey. On 19th of november 1987 I was born.

IMAG5348.jpg

Work out today:

2 sets of Squats: 10 reps (40kg)

2 sets of Pull ups: 7 and 6 reps (Bodyweight approx 93 kg)

2 sets of Seated High Incline Barbell Shoulder Press: 8 reps (40 kg)

2 sets of Barbell bend over row: 10 reps (50 kg)

2 sets of Standing Calf raises: 12 and 8 reps (Bodyweight)

2 sets of Facepulls: 10 reps (12,5 kg)
