Little I knew of the US tax policy. It was intimidating when the IRS deducted 30% of the prize money because of the US tax system. While arguing with the people and a few friends, people suggested that it's possible to refund the sum decreased from the winnings by filing a tax rebate. So I'm planning to consult a tax rebate service in Canada to get a better idea. Before that, I would like to know about this in detail from the gamblers here. Does anyone know about the tax refund law that is existing in Canada and its procedures? Even if there is a possibility to recover the taxes, is it going to be an uncomplicated process considering the current situation where casinos are trying to recover from the losses incurred by COVID-19? Please share your experiences and suggestions. Thanks!
